What it’s genuinely great for is a mobile order stop or a snack break on your way through to Grizzly Peak, which is where the actual rides are.
Grizzly Peak: Soarin’ Comes First
Soarin’ Around the World has a 40 inch height requirement and is one of the busier Lightning Lane Multi Pass sells at DCA. If it’s on your list, this should be your first stop in this corner of the park, before the standby line builds past a walk-on wait.
Grizzly River Run: Go Early or Go Wet
Grizzly River Run also carries a height requirement and runs a Single Rider line. Most guests avoid water rides first thing in the morning, which works in your favor: if you don’t mind getting soaked before 9 AM, you’ll often find this one close to a walk-on. If you’d rather stay dry, save it for later in the day when you’re ready to cool off anyway.
Mobile Order in San Fransokyo Square, Even If You’re Not Eating Yet
Since San Fransokyo Square doesn’t have rides to anchor your morning, the best use of this area during your first two hours is placing a mobile order for later, lunch spots here get busy fast once the late morning crowd arrives. Order through the app while you’re still riding in Grizzly Peak, and adjust the pickup time if your plans shift.
Getting There
From the obelisk hub near Paradise Gardens Park, the Embarcadero walkway leads directly into Grizzly Peak. If you’re coming from Cars Land or Avengers Campus instead, San Fransokyo Square sits directly between them and Grizzly Peak, making it a natural walk-through rather than a dedicated stop.
