Oogie Boogie Bash runs a record 33 nights this year, August 18 through October 31, and the Villain Treat Trails are still the reason most people buy the ticket in the first place. Here’s every confirmed villain, exactly where to find them, and everything else new for 2026.
Disney doesn’t publish a standalone downloadable trail map anywhere online. The only official map lives inside the Disneyland app the night of the event, plus the printed Bash Guide handed out at the gate. So we built our own. Use it to plan your route before you’re standing in Hollywood Land at 6:01pm wondering where to go first.

The Full 2026 Villain Roster
Eleven treat trails run this year, down from twelve in 2025. Eight of them are hosted by named villains, and three are candy-only stops with no character (Buena Vista Street, Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land, and World of Color in Paradise Gardens Park). This roster is confirmed straight off the official 2026 event guide map handed out at the gate.
Oogie Boogie
Location: Animation Building, Hollywood Land
The namesake villain and the trail most people hit first since it’s right near the entrance. Expect the longest wait of the night here in the first hour.
Hades
Location: Backlot Stage, Hollywood Land
A Bash mainstay. The Hercules underworld theming makes this one of the more elaborate trail setups.
Judge Doom
Location: Hollywood Backlot, Hollywood Land
Who Framed Roger Rabbit’s villain, a favorite with anyone who grew up on the movie.
Dr. Doofenshmirtz
Location: Disney Theater, Hollywood Land
Phineas and Ferb’s evil scientist, consistently one of the more interactive trails for younger kids.
Ernesto de la Cruz
Location: Hyperion Theater Courtyard, Hollywood Land
Coco’s villain, themed to tie into the Plaza de la Familia installation running the same season at Paradise Gardens Park.
Agatha Harkness
Location: Ancient Sanctum, Avengers Campus
WandaVision’s Agatha, the Marvel addition to the trail lineup and a good stop if you’re already looping through Avengers Campus for Web Slingers.
Syndrome
Location: Near Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff, Pixar Pier
The Incredibles villain joined the lineup in 2025 and is back for another year. Expect one of the longer waits of the night, especially early on.
Yzma and Maleficent
Location: Grizzly Peak Trail
The one new addition for 2026 shares a trail with a returning favorite instead of getting her own stop. Yzma, making her first US face-character appearance, and Maleficent, back for a second year, both work the same Grizzly Peak trail. Budget extra time here since you’re effectively hitting two character interactions in one line.
Heads up: Yokai’s San Fransokyo Square trail, a fixture since 2023, is not part of the 2026 lineup. If you’re planning a route that used to swing through San Fransokyo Square for a treat trail, cut it and reroute toward Grizzly Peak or Pixar Pier instead.
New this year outside the treat trails: Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake, a Haunted Mansion street party processing through Hollywood Land at 8:05 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Not a candy stop, but worth working into your night if you’re already posted up in that area for the Doofenshmirtz, Hades, or Judge Doom trails.
The Magic Key Exclusive Treat Trail
Magic Key holders get a stop the general roster doesn’t include. Head to Silly Symphony Swings any time during party hours (6pm to 11pm) for a dedicated candy pickup, a photo op, and a commemorative keepsake featuring Yzma and Kronk, a nice pairing since Yzma is the roster’s one new addition this year. Bring your Magic Key to redeem it.
Passholders should also keep an eye out for event-inspired Magic Key merchandise, a T-shirt and pin themed to Oogie Boogie Bash, available at select retail locations while supplies last.
Villains Grove: The Walkthrough Experience
Location: Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Grizzly Peak, running 8pm to 11pm
Not a treat trail, a full atmospheric transformation. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail gets rebuilt into a moody, lit walkthrough packed with projections, shadow work, and ambient sound design built around the Disney Villains as a group rather than one character at a time. No candy here, this is the photo-and-atmosphere stop. Budget 10 to 15 minutes to actually walk through it slowly instead of rushing to the next trail.
Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake: The New Street Party
The Frightfully Fun Parade is gone for 2026, a casualty of construction on the new Coco-themed area of the park. In its place: Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake, a Haunted Mansion-themed street party running from Paradise Gardens Park through Hollywood Land, with multiple show-stop locations instead of one continuous parade route. Expect a séance moment led by Leota herself, plus a full “999 happy haunts” dance sequence.
The party runs twice a night, 8:05pm and 10:15pm. Because it’s built as stationary shows rather than a moving parade, you can catch it without staking out a curb spot an hour early, arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of a show time and you’re set. The 10:15pm show typically draws a noticeably smaller crowd than the 8:05pm show, worth targeting if you’d rather not fight for a viewing spot.
Timing tip: the Headless Horseman (see below) tends to run roughly 10 minutes before each Swinging Wake show. If you’re already posted up waiting for Leota, you’ll likely catch him passing through in the meantime rather than needing to track him down separately.
The Headless Horseman & Ichabod Crane
In past years the Headless Horseman only appeared as the parade’s lead-in. With the parade retired, he and Ichabod Crane now run as a standalone roaming experience through Disney California Adventure at select times during the night, Ichabod hurrying through the park evading the Horseman’s pursuit. There’s no published schedule for this one, but he reliably runs about 10 minutes before each Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake show (8:05pm and 10:15pm), so plan to arrive a little early for Leota and you’ll likely catch him too, no separate tracking required.
Allergy-Friendly Treat Stations
Dedicated allergy-friendly stations are built into the trails for guests with food restrictions. Check the Disneyland app or the printed Bash Guide the night of the event for exact station locations, since placement can shift slightly year to year.
Mickey’s Trick and Treat: The Pre-Party Show
If you’re using your 3pm mix-in window, there’s an actual reason to be in the park early beyond just getting a head start on trails. Mickey’s Trick and Treat, a Halloween stage show built for kids, runs in the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land at 3:30pm, before the party officially begins. It’s a good way to fill the gap between mix-in entry and the 6pm trail opening rather than just wandering.
Practical Tips for Trick-or-Treating at OBB
- Party hours are 6pm to 11pm, but ticket holders can enter DCA as early as 3pm for mix-in time before the party officially starts.
- Hit Oogie Boogie’s trail first or last, not in the middle. It’s closest to the entrance and draws the biggest crowd right at 6pm.
- Bring your own bag or grab one at the gate. Treat bags are handed out, but a bigger tote holds more if you’re trick-or-treating with multiple kids.
- Trails run the whole party, not just early. No need to sprint at 6:01, candy doesn’t run out mid-party the way it can at other parks’ events.
- Costumes are welcome but must follow Disney’s event costume guidelines, no full face masks for guests 14 and up, no weapon-look-alike props.
